American Theater of Actors, Jan. 3 – Carl Kissin was recently hired by Israeli Mentalist Ehud Segev, a.k.a. ‘The Mentalizer, ‘ to assist with the script, direction, and other aspects of Ehud’s new show Anomal. In Anomal, the charming Mentalizer amazes audiences with his telekinesis, psychic ability, and compelling life story.
But long after the spoons were bent and theatergoers whose minds had been read had gone home, Carl noticed that he too was developing psychic powers. “It came upon me suddenly. One day I simply woke up and realized that I could predict the past! People scoffed at first, saying ‘that’s impossible’ or ‘it’s a trick’, but these skeptics were quickly silenced when they saw that I was right every time.”
Asked to predict the outcome of the Civil War, Carl correctly predicted the North. Asked to apply his uncanny sixth sense to the Oscar for Best Picture in 2005, Carl didn’t even hesitate – Crash.
Even on a trick question like who won the Presidential election of 2000, Carl answered correctly.
“It starts as a warm energy pulse flowing through my body. I feel connected to the universe, then viola -- words just emanate from my mouth, as if I’m the ventriloquist dummy of an all-powerful being.”
Asked what he will do with these supernatural powers, Carl responded humbly, “This is a gift from God, and when one is blessed, there is really only one option –cash in and make a buck while you’re hot.”
